Turning Complex Expertise Into a Clear Market Advantage

PwC has been expanding beyond its traditional strengths in audit, compliance, and risk management, investing in digital-first services designed to create new value for clients and new growth opportunities for the business.

That evolution created a different kind of brand challenge.

As new digital products came to market, PwC needed more than names. It needed a way to make complex new offerings understandable, distinctive, and credible within one of the world’s most established professional-services brands.

The opportunity was to turn deep expertise into propositions the market could quickly understand — without losing the trust and equity of the PwC name.

Creating distinction inside a global brand

Naming new products inside a global organization requires a careful balance.

Each offering needed enough distinction to stand on its own while still feeling unmistakably part of PwC.

Boyle worked closely with key stakeholders and software engineers to understand the purpose, audience, and competitive context of each product. From there, we developed names that aligned with PwC’s naming standards and brand voice while creating stronger separation in a market where many competing offers can sound alike.

The result was a family of distinctive product names under the PwC Ventures umbrella, designed to make each offering easier to understand, position, and bring to market. PwC – BoyleDesign

Turning complex offerings into clear market stories

A strong name creates recognition. But a new product still needs a compelling reason for someone to engage.

Boyle developed two 90-second top-of-funnel sales videos to introduce the products to prospective clients and move them toward demonstration and further consideration.

The challenge was to translate sophisticated digital services into concise, accessible stories that could quickly answer the questions prospective clients care about most:

What is this?
Why does it matter?
And why should I pay attention?

Working within PwC’s global identity system, we developed the content, narrative, and visual expression for each launch — creating communications that felt fresh and product-specific while remaining fully connected to the parent brand.

Building new offers without diluting the parent brand

The engagement created a more coherent bridge between product innovation and market adoption.

PwC could bring new digital offerings forward with greater clarity while retaining the credibility, consistency, and recognition of the global brand.

The value was not simply in naming products or producing sales videos.

It was in helping PwC turn complex expertise into clearer market propositions — giving new offerings the distinction they needed to be understood, considered, and adopted.
